Vista by LLumar SpectraSelect Performance VS20 SR CDF: Purpose and Appearance

Vista by LLumar SpectraSelect Performance VS20 SR CDF is a medium-dark architectural window film developed for selective infrared control that rejects heat while preserving more visible light. With 23% visible light transmission (VLT) on single-pane, 1/8-inch clear glass, it provides a deliberate balance between daylight and solar control. Its spectrally selective appearance helps designers, owners, and facility teams coordinate the glass with the surrounding architecture.

The product works well for residential window film and commercial window films applications in storefronts, homes, and commercial spaces needing minimal light reduction with strong heat rejection. It solves comfort issues, glare problems, fading, and energy-management concerns that untreated windows create. For solar control film priorities, this spectrally selective option delivers superior infrared control.

Heat, Glare, and Daylight Performance

Under NFRC-based test conditions, SpectraSelect Performance VS20 SR CDF rejects 78% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 74%. This solar heat reduction moderates hot spots near windows and decreases cooling demand during sunny weather, helping lower AC costs. The film delivers 75% glare reduction, which improves visual comfort around televisions, computers, displays, work surfaces, and customer areas.

Because it transmits 23% visible light, you should match the shade to your room’s daylight preservation goals rather than judge performance by heat rejection alone. This balance between thermal control and natural daylight sets the film apart from darker decorative window films or heavily tinted options.

UV, Infrared, and Interior Protection

The film blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the tested 300-380 nm range. Reducing UV exposure can help slow premature fading of flooring, furniture, fabrics, artwork, merchandise, and other finishes. No film can eliminate fading because visible light, heat, humidity, and material composition also contribute. SpectraSelect Performance VS20 SR CDF provides 85% infrared energy rejection and 93% selective infrared rejection under two different manufacturer measurements. These values are useful supporting indicators, while total solar energy rejected provides the broader measure of overall solar performance.

Reflectivity, Views, and Privacy

Visible reflectance is approximately 46% on the exterior and 35% on the interior. These figures help explain how noticeable the finished glass may appear from each side and how reflections may affect outward views. Daytime privacy can vary with lighting conditions, film shade, glass, and viewing angle, so it should never be guaranteed. Window film does not create nighttime privacy: when the interior is brighter than outside, blinds, shades, curtains, or another covering are required.

Professional Glass Review and Installation

Installers apply SpectraSelect Performance VS20 SR CDF to the interior side of compatible glazing. Glass type, pane configuration, coatings, edge condition, framing, orientation, shade, and local climate determine final suitability. Performance data varies by glazing system, so actual results differ between installations.

OOVO Window Films inspects your glass, compares model options within the Spectrally-Selective Series, and recommends a product matching your property’s comfort, appearance, and performance priorities. Our professional team prepares and installs the film correctly to deliver a clean finish and dependable long-term performance.
