Vista by LLumar Radiance VE50 SR CDF: Purpose and Appearance

Vista by LLumar Radiance VE50 SR CDF is a balanced architectural window film developed for a low-emissivity insulating layer that supports year-round energy efficiency. With 51% visible light transmission on single-pane, 1/8-inch clear glass, it provides a deliberate balance between daylight and solar control. Its low-emissivity appearance helps designers, owners, and facility teams coordinate the glass with the surrounding architecture. The product is well suited to homes and commercial properties seeking summer heat control and improved winter heat retention, especially when untreated windows create comfort, glare, fading, or energy-management concerns.

Heat, Glare, and Daylight Performance

Under the manufacturer’s stated NFRC-based test conditions, Radiance VE50 SR CDF rejects 55% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 48%. This can help moderate hot spots near windows and may reduce cooling demand during sunny weather. The film also provides 43% glare reduction, which can improve comfort around televisions, computers, displays, work surfaces, and customer areas. Because it transmits 51% of visible light, the selected shade should be matched to the room’s daylight goals rather than judged by heat rejection alone.

UV, Infrared, and Interior Protection

The film blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the tested 300-380 nm range. Reducing UV exposure can help slow premature fading of flooring, furniture, fabrics, artwork, merchandise, and other finishes. No film can eliminate fading because visible light, heat, humidity, and material composition also contribute. Radiance VE50 SR CDF provides 64% infrared energy rejection and 72% selective infrared rejection under two different manufacturer measurements. These values are useful supporting indicators, while total solar energy rejected provides the broader measure of overall solar performance.

Reflectivity, Views, and Privacy

Visible reflectance is approximately 22% on the exterior and 24% on the interior. These figures help explain how noticeable the finished glass may appear from each side and how reflections may affect outward views. Daytime privacy can vary with lighting conditions, film shade, glass, and viewing angle, so it should never be guaranteed. Window film does not create nighttime privacy: when the interior is brighter than outside, blinds, shades, curtains, or another covering are required.

Professional Glass Review and Installation

Installers fit Radiance VE50 SR CDF on the interior side of compatible glass. Final suitability depends on glass type, pane configuration, coatings, edge condition, framing, orientation, shade, and local climate. Performance data remains comparative because actual results vary by glazing system. OOVO Window Films inspects the glass, compares model options within the Low-E window film Series, and recommends a product aligned with property comfort, appearance, and performance priorities. Professional surface preparation and installation support a clean finish and dependable long-term durability across commercial properties. Request a residential or commercial assessment.
