Vista by LLumar Ultima V14 SR CDF: Purpose and Appearance

Vista by LLumar Ultima V14 SR CDF is a dark architectural window film engineered with dual-reflective technology. It features high exterior reflectivity paired with lower interior reflectivity, establishing strong solar control while preserving crisp outward views. With 10% visible light transmission (VLT) on single-pane clear glass, the film creates a deliberate balance between daylight and heat management. Its reflective exterior finish allows designers, building owners, and facility teams to coordinate glass aesthetics across commercial properties and homes. The product delivers active fading protection and UV radiation protection to solve severe heat accumulation, blinding screen glare, and energy management issues on untreated glass.

Heat, Glare, and Daylight Performance

Under the manufacturer’s stated NFRC-based test conditions, Ultima V14 SR CDF rejects 80% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 77%. This can help moderate hot spots near windows and may reduce cooling demand during sunny weather. The film also provides 89% glare reduction, which can improve comfort around televisions, computers, displays, work surfaces, and customer areas. Because it transmits 10% of visible light, the selected shade should be matched to the room’s daylight goals rather than judged by heat rejection alone.

UV, Infrared, and Interior Protection

The film blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the tested 300-380 nm range. Reducing UV exposure can help slow premature fading of flooring, furniture, fabrics, artwork, merchandise, and other finishes. No film can eliminate fading because visible light, heat, humidity, and material composition also contribute. Ultima V14 SR CDF provides 82% infrared energy rejection and 94% selective infrared rejection under two different manufacturer measurements. These values are useful supporting indicators, while total solar energy rejected provides the broader measure of overall solar performance.

Reflectivity, Views, and Privacy

Visible reflectance is approximately 55% on the exterior and 24% on the interior. These figures help explain how noticeable the finished glass may appear from each side and how reflections may affect outward views. Daytime privacy can vary with lighting conditions, film shade, glass, and viewing angle, so it should never be guaranteed. Window film does not create nighttime privacy: when the interior is brighter than outside, blinds, shades, curtains, or another covering are required.

Professional Glass Review and Installation

Installers fit Ultima V14 SR CDF onto the interior surface of compatible glass systems. Final suitability depends on glass type, pane configuration, surface coatings, edge conditions, framing systems, orientation, shade, and local climate. Performance data remains comparative because actual results vary by glazing system. OOVO Window Films inspects existing glass, compares options within the Dual-Reflective Series, and evaluates total solar energy rejected (TSER) and solar heat gain coefficients to recommend a product aligned with property comfort, appearance, and performance priorities. Installing this high-performance dual-reflective window film helps mitigate daily HVAC cooling demand. Professional surface preparation and installation deliver a clean finish and long-term durability. Request a residential or commercial assessment.
