Vista by LLumar Mirage V38 SR CDF: Purpose and Appearance

Vista by LLumar Mirage V38 SR CDF is a balanced architectural window film developed for high exterior reflectivity with lower interior reflectivity, delivering strong solar control and improved outward views. With 39% visible light transmission (VLT) on single-pane clear glass, it provides a deliberate balance between natural daylight and heat management. Its dual-reflective window film appearance helps designers, owners, and facility teams coordinate the glass with surrounding architecture. The product suits homes and commercial properties where heat and glare are primary concerns, delivering active fading protection and UV radiation protection to solve comfort, screen glare, and energy-management issues on untreated glass.

Heat, Glare, and Daylight Performance

Under the manufacturer’s stated NFRC-based test conditions, Mirage V38 SR CDF rejects 57% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 50%. This can help moderate hot spots near windows and may reduce cooling demand during sunny weather. The film also provides 57% glare reduction, which can improve comfort around televisions, computers, displays, work surfaces, and customer areas. Because it transmits 39% of visible light, the selected shade should be matched to the room’s daylight goals rather than judged by heat rejection alone.

UV, Infrared, and Interior Protection

The film blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the tested 300-380 nm range. Reducing UV exposure can help slow premature fading of flooring, furniture, fabrics, artwork, merchandise, and other finishes. No film can eliminate fading because visible light, heat, humidity, and material composition also contribute. Mirage V38 SR CDF provides 61% infrared energy rejection and 75% selective infrared rejection under two different manufacturer measurements. These values are useful supporting indicators, while total solar energy rejected provides the broader measure of overall solar performance.

Reflectivity, Views, and Privacy

Visible reflectance is approximately 26% on the exterior and 17% on the interior. These figures help explain how noticeable the finished glass may appear from each side and how reflections may affect outward views. Daytime privacy can vary with lighting conditions, film shade, glass, and viewing angle, so it should never be guaranteed. Window film does not create nighttime privacy: when the interior is brighter than outside, blinds, shades, curtains, or another covering are required.

Professional Glass Review and Installation

Mirage V38 SR CDF is designed for installation on the interior side of compatible glazing, but final suitability depends on glass type, pane configuration, surface coatings, edge condition, framing, orientation, shade, and local climate. Performance data remains comparative because actual results vary by glazing system. OOVO Window Films inspects the glass, compares model options within the Dual-Reflective Series, and evaluates total solar energy rejected (TSER) and solar heat gain to recommend a product aligned with the property’s comfort, appearance, and performance priorities. Professional surface preparation and installation deliver a clean finish and dependable long-term durability. Request a residential or commercial assessment.
