Vista by LLumar Atmosphere VXA14 ER HPR: Purpose and Appearance

Engineers developed Vista by LLumar Atmosphere VXA14 ER HPR as a dark architectural window film for high-performance solar control. Technicians apply this film directly to the exterior glass surface. Passing 10% visible light transmission (VLT) on single-pane clear glass, it balances natural daylight with heat management. Its exterior dual-reflective window film finish helps designers, owners, and facility teams align glass aesthetics with building architecture. This product solves projects requiring exterior installation due to physical access or glass compatibility limits. It delivers active fading protection and UV radiation protection to eliminate hot spots, screen glare, and rising energy bills on untreated glass.

Heat, Glare, and Daylight Performance

Under the manufacturer’s stated NFRC-based test conditions, Atmosphere VXA14 ER HPR rejects 83% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 80%. This can help moderate hot spots near windows and may reduce cooling demand during sunny weather. The film also provides 89% glare reduction, which can improve comfort around televisions, computers, displays, work surfaces, and customer areas. Because it transmits 10% of visible light, the selected shade should be matched to the room’s daylight goals rather than judged by heat rejection alone.

UV, Infrared, and Interior Protection

The film blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the tested 300-380 nm range. Reducing UV exposure can help slow premature fading of flooring, furniture, fabrics, artwork, merchandise, and other finishes. No film can eliminate fading because visible light, heat, humidity, and material composition also contribute. Atmosphere VXA14 ER HPR provides 86% infrared energy rejection and 95% selective infrared rejection under two different manufacturer measurements. These values are useful supporting indicators, while total solar energy rejected provides the broader measure of overall solar performance.

Reflectivity, Views, and Privacy

Visible reflectance is approximately 59% on the exterior and 25% on the interior. These figures help explain how noticeable the finished glass may appear from each side and how reflections may affect outward views. Daytime privacy can vary with lighting conditions, film shade, glass, and viewing angle, so it should never be guaranteed. Window film does not create nighttime privacy: when the interior is brighter than outside, blinds, shades, curtains, or another covering are required.

Professional Glass Review and Installation

Atmosphere VXA14 ER HPR is designed for installation on the exterior side of glazing, but final suitability depends on glass type, pane configuration, surface coatings, edge condition, framing, orientation, shade, and local climate. Performance data remains comparative because actual results vary by glazing system. OOVO Window Films inspects existing glass, compares model options within the Atmosphere Exterior Series, and evaluates total solar energy rejected (TSER) and solar heat gain to recommend an exterior film aligned with the property’s comfort, appearance, and performance priorities. Professional surface preparation and installation deliver a clean finish and dependable long-term durability across commercial properties and homes. Request a residential or commercial assessment.
