SOLYX SX-1975 Reflect Protect is a durable, optically clear, scratch-resistant exterior film that cuts the concentrated reflection off home and office windows, which is what melts artificial turf and vinyl siding. It transmits 62% of visible light and blocks 99% of ultraviolet.
SOLYX SX-1975 Reflect Protect: Purpose and Appearance
SOLYX SX-1975 Reflect Protect is a durable, optically clear, scratch-resistant exterior film that cuts the concentrated reflection off home and office windows, which is what melts artificial turf and vinyl siding. Manufacturer code SX-1975. 4 mil clear polyester with a removable pressure-sensitive adhesive, tensile strength 30,000 lbs/sq in. EXTERIOR ONLY, it must go on the outside face. Once applied it resembles a window screen and keeps good interior visibility. It also deters birds from flying into the glass, and peels off cleanly.

The manufacturer publishes 62% visible light transmission, 4% exterior visible reflectance, 99% of ultraviolet blocked, 50% of total solar energy rejected. Figures are comparative and measured on the manufacturer’s stated test glazing, so actual results vary with the glass they are applied to.

Film is cut and fitted to the glass it goes on, so every job is quoted after someone has seen it. There is no cart here on purpose.
- Tell us the rooms. Send the glass you want treated and rough measurements, or just call and describe the problem.
- We visit and measure. We check the glass for compatibility and hold samples against your own window in your own light.
- You get a fixed price. Supplied and installed, no surprises on the day.
- We install and clean up. Then the manufacturer warranty and our labor warranty both start.
