SOLYX Construction Matte White is a removable opaque white vinyl for temporary light and visibility blocking, made to hide interior construction behind glass, and equally usable for shop windows and glass doors. It transmits 1% of visible light and blocks 100% of ultraviolet.
Special Order. $750 minimum for the part of the project using this film. Please allow approximately 2 to 3 weeks for materials to arrive. Subject to availability.
SOLYX Construction Matte White: Purpose and Appearance
SOLYX Construction Matte White is a removable white vinyl for temporary construction screening: it hides interior work behind storefront glass and glass doors and keeps the frontage looking clean while work goes on. Manufacturer code SX-1920. 4 mil white vinyl with a removable pressure-sensitive adhesive, supplied in 200 linear ft rolls.
Privacy, Day and Night
It transmits only 1% of visible light, so it blocks views into the space by day and after dark without blinds. Because a little light still passes, very bright interior lighting may show faint shapes close to the glass. You cannot see out through it either, which is why it suits temporary screening, a fit-out, a stairwell or a partition rather than a window someone sits by.
Published Performance
The manufacturer publishes 1% visible light transmission, 3% exterior visible reflectance, 100% of ultraviolet blocked, 78% of total solar energy rejected. SOLYX lists a one-year warranty for this film, which is separate from how long it can be expected to last in place. Figures are comparative and measured on the manufacturer’s stated test glazing, so actual results vary with the glass they are applied to.

Film is cut and fitted to the glass it goes on, so every job is quoted after someone has seen it. There is no cart here on purpose.
