SOLYX Construction Matte Black is the black version of the same removable construction film, fully opaque, for glass that has to read as dark rather than bright while work goes on behind it. It transmits 0% of visible light and blocks 100% of ultraviolet.

SOLYX Construction Matte Black: Purpose and Appearance
SOLYX Construction Matte Black is the black version of the same removable construction film, fully opaque, for glass that has to read as dark rather than bright while work goes on behind it. Manufacturer code SX-1910. 4 mil flexible opaque black vinyl with a removable pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive on a smooth clear liner. Rated interior or exterior. Supplied 60 in wide in 100 ft rolls.
Privacy, Day and Night
This is one of the few films that is private after dark as well as during the day. Most window film relies on the outside being brighter than the inside, so it stops working the moment you turn the lights on. This one is opaque it transmits no visible light at all, so nobody sees in at any hour, and no blinds or curtains are needed to achieve it. The trade is the obvious one: you cannot see out either. It suits glass where the view was never the point a bathroom, a stairwell, a partition, a storefront being fitted out rather than a window someone sits by.
Published Performance
The manufacturer publishes 0% visible light transmission, 3% exterior visible reflectance, 100% of ultraviolet blocked, 78% of total solar energy rejected. Figures are comparative and measured on the manufacturer’s stated test glazing, so actual results vary with the glass they are applied to.

Film is cut and fitted to the glass it goes on, so every job is quoted after someone has seen it. There is no cart here on purpose.

- You get a fixed price. Supplied and installed, no surprises on the day.
- We install and clean up. Then the manufacturer warranty and our labor warranty both start.
