What Construction is for
Decorative films in the Construction range, running from 0% visible light at the darkest to 1% at the lightest. Exterior applied, Construction is chosen for its look and for privacy, which runs complete across the series, and the films block 100% of ultraviolet. Which one suits a room depends on how much daylight you want to keep and how much you want hidden, which is why we hold samples against your own glass before quoting.
Every film here is fitted to the exterior face of the glass and is covered by both the manufacturer warranty and our own warranty on the installation. Performance figures below are the manufacturer's; your own glass will differ, which is why we measure on site before quoting.

Compare natural light, privacy and UV protection
Decorative film is chosen for how it looks and how much it hides, not for heat. Settle the light and privacy you want first and the choice narrows to one or two films.
Visible light
How much daylight comes through. This series runs 0% to 1%. Lower is darker and more private, higher keeps the room bright and the view closer to untreated glass.
Privacy
How much of the room is hidden from the other side of the glass. This series runs complete. A frost blurs shapes; a gradient screens part of the pane; a blackout hides everything.
UV blocked
How much ultraviolet is stopped, which is what fades floors, fabric and art. Where a manufacturer publishes no figure it reads "not published" rather than a guess.

Before you decide
No, and that is deliberate. Film is cut and fitted to the glass it goes on, so every job is priced after someone has seen it. Send us the rooms and we will book a free estimate.
Start with how much daylight you want to keep. This series runs 0% to 1% visible light. Once that is settled, the privacy level in the table above usually leaves one obvious choice.
This series is $14 per square foot, supplied and installed. At that rate, a 250 square foot project comes to about $3,500. The final figure depends on the number of panes, their size and access.
It helps. The films in this series block 100% of ultraviolet, which is the largest single cause of fading; the table above gives each film's own figure. No film stops fading completely, because visible light, heat and humidity all contribute too.
