88% visible light, 18% of solar heat rejected, 99% of UV blocked.
Simulation is for reference only. Actual pattern visibility and appearance may vary based on the glass, lighting, viewing angle, surroundings, and installation conditions. Bird-friendly film is designed to help reduce bird-window collisions but cannot guarantee that all collisions will be prevented.
$24 per sq ft installed. Figures are measured on 1/8 in (3 mm) clear, single pane.
What Bird Safety is for
Specialty films in the Bird Safety range, running from 88% visible light at the darkest to 89% at the lightest. Exterior applied, Bird Safety carries a tested Threat Factor of 4–19 (lower is better; 30 or under counts as bird friendly) with a 3–10 years manufacturer warranty, and the films block 99% of ultraviolet. Which one suits a building depends on how visible you want the pattern to be, which is why we check it against your own glass before quoting.
Every film here is fitted to the exterior face of the glass and is covered by both the manufacturer warranty and our own warranty on the installation. Performance figures below are the manufacturer's, measured on 1/8 in (3 mm) clear, single pane; your own glass will differ, which is why we measure on site before quoting.

Compare tested collision deterrence, natural light and warranty coverage
Bird-safety film is chosen for how reliably birds see it. Start from the tested score, then check the film keeps the light and carries the warranty you want.
Threat Factor
The American Bird Conservancy's tested collision score. Lower is better, and 30 or under counts as bird friendly. This series scores 4–19. It is a comparative index, not a percentage of collisions prevented.
Visible light
How much daylight comes through. This series runs 88% to 89%. Lower is darker and more private, higher keeps the room bright and the view closer to untreated glass.
Warranty
How long the manufacturer stands behind the film. This series carries 3–10 years. The pattern must stay visible for the film to keep working, so the term matters.

Before you decide
No, and that is deliberate. Film is cut and fitted to the glass it goes on, so every job is priced after someone has seen it. Send us the rooms and we will book a free estimate.
Start with the Threat Factor in the table above: lower is better, and this series scores 4–19. Then check the film keeps the daylight you want and carries the warranty term you expect.
Films in this series cost $20–$24 per square foot, supplied and installed, depending on the model. A 250 square foot project comes to about $5,000 at $20 per square foot, or about $6,000 at $24. The final figure depends on the film, the number of panes, their size and access.
It helps. The films in this series block 99% of ultraviolet, which is the largest single cause of fading; the table above gives each film's own figure. No film stops fading completely, because visible light, heat and humidity all contribute too.
