LLumar AIR80 BL SR HPR is a clear window film that transmits 79% of visible light, rejects 42% of total solar energy, reduces glare by 12%, and blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays.
LLumar AIR80 BL SR HPR: Purpose and Appearance
LLumar AIR80 BL SR HPR is a light architectural window film developed for specialized performance with very high light transmission or enhanced UV control. On single-pane, 1/8-inch clear glass, it transmits 79% visible light transmission (VLT). It balances daylight control and solar control intentionally. Its clear appearance helps designers, owners, and facility teams coordinate glass with surrounding architecture. This product suits spaces with precise daylight management, infrared control, or fade-protection priorities. Use it especially when untreated windows create discomfort, glare reduction needs, fading, or energy-efficiency concerns.
Heat, Glare, and Daylight Performance
Under the manufacturer’s stated NFRC-based test conditions, AIR80 BL SR HPR rejects 42% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 33%. This can help moderate hot spots near windows and may reduce cooling demand during sunny weather. The film also provides 12% glare reduction, which can improve comfort around televisions, computers, displays, work surfaces, and customer areas. Because it transmits 79% of visible light, the selected shade should be matched to the room’s daylight goals rather than judged by heat rejection alone.
UV, Infrared, and Interior Protection
The film blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the tested 300-380 nm range. Reducing UV exposure can help slow premature fading of flooring, furniture, fabrics, artwork, merchandise, and other finishes. No film can eliminate fading because visible light, heat, humidity, and material composition also contribute. AIR80 BL SR HPR provides 58% infrared energy rejection and 83% selective infrared rejection under two different manufacturer measurements. These values are useful supporting indicators, while total solar energy rejected provides the broader measure of overall solar performance.
Reflectivity, Views, and Privacy
The film reflects approximately 9% of light on the exterior and 9% on the interior. These figures show how noticeable the finished glass appears from each side. They reveal how reflections affect outward views. Daytime privacy varies with lighting conditions, film shade, glass type, and viewing angle. Never guarantee it. Window film does not create nighttime privacy. When interior light exceeds exterior light, blinds, shades, curtains, or another covering become necessary. Our privacy and protection film options address this need. Request a professional assessment to evaluate your climate conditions and architectural requirements.
Professional Glass Review and Installation
AIR80 BL SR HPR is designed for installation on the interior side of compatible glazing, but final suitability depends on glass type, pane configuration, coatings, edge condition, framing, orientation, shade, and local climate. Performance data is comparative and actual results vary by glazing system. OOVO Window Films can inspect the glass, compare model options within the Specialty Series, and recommend a product aligned with the property’s comfort, appearance, and performance priorities. Professional preparation and installation also support a clean finish and dependable long-term performance. Request a residential or commercial assessment at https://oovo.com/contact-us/.
