Switch between the untinted glass and the same view with this film fitted. View exterior turns the window round and shows the street side, so you can see how this film really looks from outside. The chip shows its measured 49% VLT. Photography is indicative; ask us for a physical sample against your own glass before you decide.

LLumar R50 SR CDF: Purpose and Appearance
LLumar R50 SR CDF is a balanced architectural window film developed for high heat and glare control with a reflective architectural finish. With 49% visible light transmission on single-pane, 1/8-inch clear glass, it provides a deliberate balance between daylight and solar control. Its silver appearance helps designers, owners, and facility teams coordinate the glass with the surrounding architecture. The product is well suited to commercial buildings and spaces with intense sun exposure, especially when untreated windows create comfort, glare, fading, or energy-management concerns.
Heat, Glare, and Daylight Performance
Under the manufacturer’s stated NFRC-based test conditions, R50 SR CDF rejects 53% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 45%. This can help moderate hot spots near windows and may reduce cooling demand during sunny weather. The film also provides 46% glare reduction, which can improve comfort around televisions, computers, displays, work surfaces, and customer areas. Because it transmits 49% of visible light, the selected shade should be matched to the room’s daylight goals rather than judged by heat rejection alone.
UV, Infrared, and Interior Protection
The film blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the tested 300-380 nm range. Reducing UV exposure can help slow premature fading of flooring, furniture, fabrics, artwork, merchandise, and other finishes. No film can eliminate fading because visible light, heat, humidity, and material composition also contribute. R50 SR CDF provides 61% infrared energy rejection and 72% selective infrared rejection under two different manufacturer measurements. These values are useful supporting indicators, while total solar energy rejected provides the broader measure of overall solar performance.
Reflectivity, Views, and Privacy
Visible reflectance is approximately 26% on the exterior and 25% on the interior. These figures help explain how noticeable the finished glass may appear from each side and how reflections may affect outward views. Daytime privacy can vary with lighting conditions, film shade, glass, and viewing angle, so it should never be guaranteed. Window film does not create nighttime privacy: when the interior is brighter than outside, blinds, shades, curtains, or another covering are required.
Professional Glass Review and Installation
R50 SR CDF installs on the interior side of compatible glazing. Final suitability depends on glass type, pane configuration, coatings, and edge condition. Framing, orientation, shade, and local climate also matter. Manufacturers compile comparative performance data because results vary by glazing system. OOVO Window Films inspects your glass and compares options within the Reflective Series. We recommend products for your property’s comfort, appearance, and performance needs. Professional preparation and installation deliver a clean finish and dependable performance. Request a residential or commercial assessment.
