LLumar Ceramic 45 SR PS
Best Seller
LLumar Ceramic 45 SR PS offers balanced daylight and comfort with 49% visible light transmission, 45% total solar energy rejection, and more than 99% ultraviolet protection.
Balanced Daylight With a Neutral Appearance
LLumar Ceramic 45 SR PS is a versatile solar-control film for spaces that need heat and glare reduction without making the glass look excessively dark or reflective. Its neutral color is intended to create minimal change to a building’s exterior appearance, while the ceramic construction supports clear views from inside. With 49% visible light transmission on 1/8-inch clear glass, Ceramic 45 maintains a comfortable level of natural daylight for homes, offices, retail spaces, and other occupied interiors.
Everyday Solar and Glare Control
According to LLumar’s 2026 performance data, Ceramic 45 rejects 45% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 36%. This balanced performance can help moderate hot spots near windows and improve comfort without the darker look of more aggressive films. It also reduces glare by 46%, which can make televisions, computers, and other screens easier to view during bright daytime conditions. For rooms where daylight matters but uncontrolled sun is uncomfortable, Ceramic 45 offers a practical middle ground.
Protection Against Ultraviolet Exposure
Ceramic 45 blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the manufacturer’s tested 300-380 nm range. Reducing UV exposure can help slow premature fading of flooring, furniture, fabrics, artwork, displays, and other interior finishes. No window film can stop fading completely because visible light, heat, humidity, and the characteristics of each material also play a role. Still, professionally installed film can provide an important layer of protection while allowing occupants to continue enjoying natural light.
Low Reflectivity and Ceramic Performance
Visible reflectance is approximately 9% on both the exterior and interior sides, producing a subtle appearance rather than a mirror finish. The film provides 50% infrared energy rejection and 68% selective infrared rejection under LLumar’s stated measurement methods. Its corrosion-resistant ceramic technology is also suitable for coastal applications where salt deposits and sea air are concerns. At night, the low interior reflectivity can support a clearer outward view than highly reflective films, but it does not provide nighttime privacy. Blinds or shades are required whenever privacy is needed after dark.
A Professional Recommendation for Your Glass
LLumar Ceramic 45 SR PS is a strong choice when the goal is balanced light transmission, moderate heat rejection, glare reduction, and a natural-looking exterior. Its middle-range shade makes it adaptable across rooms with different comfort and daylight priorities. Actual performance varies with glass type, glazing construction, window orientation, weather, and surrounding shade. OOVO Window Films will review the glass and project goals before recommending a film, helping ensure the selected product is appropriate for the application.
