LLumar Ceramic 35 SR PS is designed for homeowners and commercial property managers who want meaningful solar control without a shiny, mirror-like exterior. Its neutral tone and low reflectivity help preserve the natural appearance of the glass while improving comfort in rooms affected by direct sunlight. With 36% visible light transmission, Ceramic 35 noticeably softens intense daylight but still allows the space to benefit from natural light.

Heat, Glare, and Fade Reduction

On 1/8-inch clear glass, Ceramic 35 rejects 55% of total solar energy and reduces summer solar heat gain by 48%. This can make sun-facing rooms feel more comfortable and may reduce demand on air-conditioning systems. The film also provides 60% glare reduction, making it a strong option for living rooms, offices, conference rooms, and other spaces where bright sunlight can interfere with screens or everyday activities. It blocks more than 99% of ultraviolet rays in the tested 300-380 nm range, helping reduce one major cause of premature fading. Window film cannot eliminate fading because heat, visible light, humidity, and material quality also contribute, but it can be an important part of a broader protection plan for flooring, furniture, artwork, and merchandise.

Low Reflectivity and Improved Views

Ceramic 35 has approximately 10% visible reflectance on both the exterior and interior sides of the glass. This balanced, low-reflectivity appearance minimizes visual disruption and supports clearer outward views, including improved viewing conditions from inside after dark compared with highly reflective films. However, solar-control film does not create nighttime privacy. When interior lights are on and it is darker outside, blinds, shades, or another window covering are still needed for privacy.

Durable Ceramic Technology

The ceramic construction is corrosion resistant, which makes this series especially useful in coastal environments exposed to salt deposits and sea air. Ceramic 35 also delivers 60% infrared energy rejection and 81% selective infrared rejection under the manufacturer’s stated test methods. These figures describe different measurements of infrared performance and should be considered together with total solar energy rejected when comparing films.
